Day 01: Drive to Dhunche (1950 m), 5 – 6 hours drive.
Day 02: Trek to Sing Gompa (3250 m), 4 – 5 hours walk.
Day 03: Trek to Gosaikunda (4380 m), 5 – 6 hours walk.
Day 04: Trek to Ghopte (3440 m), 8 – 9 hrs walk.
Day 05: Trek to Kutumsang (2470 m), 5 – 6 hrs walk.
Day 06: Trek to Chisopani (2215 m), 5 – 6 hrs walk.
Day 07: Trek from Chisapani to Sundarijal (1460 m.) (3 – 4 hrs. walk)
Day 01: Drive to Dhunche (1950 m), 5 – 6 hours drive.
Drive passing beautiful green valleys, several villages and along the Trishuli river.
Day 02: Trek to Sing Gompa (3250 m), 4 – 5 hours walk.
The trail follows a steep climb through rhododendron and pine forest. A long way up (approximately 4.30 hrs) through beautiful forest leads you to Singompa, a settlement surrounded by mixed green forest. There is located a gompa (Buddhist monastery) for the Tamang ethnic people living in the area. Sing Gompa hosts a well managed local cheese factory, a Tibetan Buddhist Monastery and provides panoramic views. The yak cheese manufactured here is considered best in Nepal.
Day 03: Trek to Gosaikunda (4380 m), 5 – 6 hours walk.
The trail follows a steep climb up to Shakyamuni Monastry and on further climb you will get good views of the lakes Sharaswatikunda and Bhairabkunda. Then it is a gentle climb to Gosaikunda. Gosaikunda is a holy lake for the Hindus and other indigenous groups that live in Nepal.
Day 04: Trek to Ghopte (3440 m), 8 – 9 hrs walk.
After explore around at Gosaikuna, we start a bit challenge day. The trail traverses the northern side of Gosaikunda Lake and climbs on a rocky trail. We climb through rugged country, crosses glacier moraines and past four small lakes to the Laurebina La (4610m). On a clear day we can see Annapurna range through the way. Then the trail leads us steeply down to Phedi (3740m). From here, the route drops to the stream then climbs through the scrub Bamboo to a crest. Continue walk down throughout crossing a rocky hill with pine, rhododendron trees to Ghopte. At night you can see the lights of Trishuli Bazaar far below and Kathmandu glow behind the hills to the west.
Day 05: Trek to Kutumsang (2470 m), 5 – 6 hrs walk.
Continuing through the coniferous forest, the team reaches Thadepati (3510 m.) after about two hours. The trail then gradually descends through the forest for about five more hours to reach Kutumsang.
Day 06: Trek to Chisopani (2215 m), 5 – 6 hrs walk.
From Kutumsang, the trail passes through dense coniferous forests and numerous Tamang villages to reach Tipling, after nearly three hours of trekking. The trail then continues over a rolling terrain with lots of ascent, descent and straight travel through the terraced fields to reach Pati Bhanjyang. From Pati Bahajyang we climb after two hours. The last day of the trip ascends steeply for about an hour to reach Chisapani.
Day 07: Trek from Chisapani to Sundarijal (1460 m.) (3 – 4 hrs. walk)
The last day of the trip from Chisapani our trek continues for two more hours of steep ascent through villages, and finally descends for an hour to reach Sundarijal. From Sundarijal to Kathmandu for about an hour to reach Kathmandu City.
