Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Kathmandu to Syabrubensi (1420 m), 8-9 hours drive.
Day 03: Syabrubensi (1420 m) to Lama Hotel (2380 m), 4-5 hours walk.
Day 04: Lama Hotel (2380 m) to Langtang village (3307 m), 6-7 hours walk.
Day 05: Langtang village to Kyangjin Gompa (3730 m), 3-4 hours walk.
Day 06: Kyangjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2410 m), 6-7 hours walk.
Day 07: Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru (2200 m), 5-6 hours walk.
Day 08: Thulo Syabru to Sing Gompa (3240 m)
Day 09: Singompa to Gosaikunda (4380 m) 5 – 6 hours walk.
Day 10: Via to Singompa (3250 m) to Dhunche (1950 m.) 7 – 8 hours walk.
Day 11: Drive Dhunche to Kathmandu, 6 – 7 hours drive.
Day 12: Departure transfer.
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu.
After arrival, snow leopard representative will meet you at the airport and transfer to your hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Kathmandu to Syabrubensi (1420 m), 8-9 hours drive.
You have to depart early for the nine/ten hours drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubensi-the start point of your trek. This small town lies at the foot of the Langtang Valley. This is a spectacular drive climbing high over the ridges to escape the Kathmandu Valley and provides you with a superb panoramic view of the Himalayas, including the Annapurnas, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal and the peaks of the Langtang region that you will soon become better acquainted with.
Day 03: Syabrubensi (1420 m) to Lama Hotel (2380 m), 4-5 hours walk.
The trail begins with crossing of the Bhote Kosi river, which flows down from Tibet and the border is only a few kilometers away. The trekking trail climbs up through the sub-tropical forests teeming with bird-life. You will then follow the Langtang river and cross bamboo forests and forests of oak and rhododendron. You may also catch glimpses of langur monkeys roaming around the trees. Also, on a lucky day you could probably catch sight of the Red Panda and the Himalayan Black Bear.
Day 04: Lama Hotel (2380 m) to Langtang village (3307 m), 6-7 hours walk.
As you continue on your trail you will catch occasional glimpses of Langtang Lirung (7,245 m.). Shortly before arriving the beautiful Langtang village, you will come across a Tibetan Monastery which you can visit shortly before arriving at the village of Langtang, the headquarters of the Langtang National Park.
Day 05: Langtang village to Kyangjin Gompa (3730 m), 3-4 hours walk.
Kyanjin Gompa provides views of dramatic icefall flowing from Mt. Langtang Lirung and Mt. Kinshung. From Kyagjing on a clear day you can get good views of Mt. Dorje Lakpa, Yala Peak, Langshisha Ri (6427 m), Langtang Lirung (7725 m), Mt. Ganchenpo (6387 m) , Ganga La pass (5130 m) and Mt. Naya Kang (5844 m).
Day time explore the area. You can visit the monastery and the cheese factory, walk up the moraine to see the spectacular ice faces and tumbling glaciers of Langtang Lirung or ascend Kyangjin Ri [4350 m], directly behind the village, for a breath-taking panorama of the Langtang peaks.
Day 06: Kyangjin Gompa to Lama Hotel (2410 m), 6-7 hours walk.
From Kyangjin you retrace your route following the Langtang river to Langtang village and on to Ghora Tabela. After lunch you continue the steep Descent to Lama Hotel.
Day 07: Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru (2200 m), 5-6 hours walk.
We trek from Lama Hotel to Thulo Syabru . The beginning of the trek is gently descending till Pairo and then goes steep up to Thulo Syabru. En route, one could see pandas, monkeys and various species of birds.
Day 08: Thulo Syabru to Singompa (3250 m), 5-6 hours walk.
This trek leads you to the famous town of Singompa where you can visit a Tibetan monastery. There is a well-managed local cheese factory and a Buddhist Monastery. Singompa provides panoramic views of Manasalu, Ganesh, Langtang Lirung and unnamed Tibetan mountains, exhilarating nature and Yak Cheese factory.
Day 09: Singompa to Gosaikunda (4380 m) 5 – 6 hours walk.
The trail leads to northern part of Gosaidkunda and you make a steep ascent before you reach Gosaikunda.
Day 10: Via to Singompa (3250 m) to Dhunche (1950 m.) 7 – 8 hours walk.
This day the trails descend all the way to Singompa passing Lauribanayak with magnificent mountain views and forests.Decent through rhododendron forests and giant fire trees. We cross the Trisuli river on a suspension bridge and follow the river along the sough bank through fields, .From Singompa to Dhunche we walk down about 3 hours. Overnight at Dhunche.
Day 11: Drive Dhunche to Kathmandu, 6 – 7 hours drive.
Reaching Kathmandu you can go for last minute shopping before leaving Nepal the next day.
Day 12: Departure transfer.
Snow Leopard representative will pick you up from your hotel to drop you at the international airport for departure.
