The Annapurna Circuit is a renowned trek that winds through the mountain ranges of central Nepal. The route spans between 160 to 230 km, depending on the use of motor transport and the chosen endpoint. This trek traverses two distinct river valleys while encircling the Annapurna Massif. It reaches its highest elevation at the Thorong La Pass, which sits on the edge of the Tibetan plateau. Most trekkers opt to hike the circuit in an anticlockwise direction, as it allows for a more gradual altitude gain, making the challenging Thorong La Pass easier and safer to cross.

This area is fascinating and unspoiled, remaining less touristic compared to popular trekking destinations like the Annapurna, Everest, and Langtang regions. However, it requires good physical fitness and some trekking experience. The Manaslu Circuit is a breathtaking trek, offering spectacular views of Mount Manaslu (8,163 m) and the Ganesh Himal Range. Along the way, you'll encounter a unique blend of authentic Hindu and Tibetan Buddhist villages, adding to the cultural richness of the journey.

Makalu-Barun National Park, an almost uninhabited 1,500 sq. km expanse in eastern Nepal, remains close to untouched wilderness. This remote area extends eastward from Mt. Everest National Park, nestled between the Tibetan plateau and the deep subtropical gorges carved by the Arun River. The park offers breathtaking views of rugged Himalayan peaks, including Mt. Makalu (8,463 m), the fifth highest mountain in the world, along with Mt. Chamlang (7,319 m) and Mt. Baruntse (7,129 m). Within just 40 km, these towering peaks dramatically descend to the Arun River at 670 m. The Makalu-Barun Valley showcases striking contrasts, where cascading waterfalls plunge into deep gorges, jagged rocks rise above lush green forests, and vibrant flowers bloom beneath snow-capped peaks.

The Tamang Heritage Trek is a culturally immersive journey, where you'll encounter the Tamang people whose traditions are closely linked to Tibetan culture, as the trail reaches near the Tibetan border to the north. This trek offers a captivating blend of stunning landscapes, majestic snow-capped peaks, and charming ancient villages.

The Everest Base Camp Trek is a fantastic trekking route, offering some of the most awe-inspiring, up-close views of Nepal's eastern mountains, including the iconic Mount Everest, within the stunning Sagarmatha National Park. Additionally, trekking through the traditional Sherpa villages provides a rich cultural experience, making it a truly memorable journey.

The Annapurna Base Camp Trek is a popular option, beginning in Pokhara, which is easily accessible by both flight and bus from Kathmandu. This trek is an excellent choice for those seeking stunning, up-close views of the Annapurna Mountains within the magnificent Annapurna Conservation Area. It also provides a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the traditional Nepalese village lifestyle.

Ghorepani/Poon Hill Trek: This trek is a favorite among visitors to Nepal seeking a shorter trekking experience. Renowned for its breathtaking mountain scenery, charming ethnic villages, and rich cultural experiences, the Ghorepani trek truly lives up to its popularity. Situated just north of Pokhara, Ghorepani provides some of the most spectacular, up-close views of the world's highest and most stunning peaks. The trek begins from Pokhara, which is easily reachable by both flight and bus from Kathmandu.

Mardi Himal trek is an unseen gem yet. Few trekkers make their way to the Mardi Himal Base Camp outstandingly positioned at the base of Mardi Himal and the Annapurna region´s most iconic mount Machhapuchhre literally meaning "Fish tail". The trail goes along small winding paths, through enchanted rhododendron forests until you climb out of the forest at an elevation around 3,300 meter. The landscape changes quite abruptly into a rugged high mountain landscape, with amazing views of Mardi Himal, Machhapuchhre, Annapurna South and Hiunchuli.
