Day 1: Arrival transfer to hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Kathmandu/Pokhara by flight. Drive to Nayapul. Trek to Ghandrung
Day 03: Trek to Chhomrong (2050 m.) 5-6 hrs walk.
Day 04: Trek to Dovan (2606 m.) 5-6 hrs walk.
Day 05: Trek to Machhapurchhre Base Camp (3720 m.) 5-6 hrs walk.
Day 06: Visit Annapurna Base Camp (4130 m.) & trek back to Himalaya Hotel (2920 m) 7 -8 hrs walk.
Day 07: Trek to Jhinu Danda (1780 m) 6- 7 hrs walk.
Day 08: Trek to Deurali (2100 m) 5-6 hrs walk.
Day 09: Trek up to Phedi. Drive to Pokhara. Overnight in Pokhara (819 m)
Day 10: Pokhara to Kathmandu by flight.
Day 11: International departure
Day 1: Arrival transfer to hotel in Kathmandu.
A Snow Leopard Trek representative will be there at the airport to pick you up and transfer you to your hotel. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Kathmandu/Pokhara by flight. Drive to Nayapul. Trek to Ghandrung
25 minutes flight to Pokhara. Our Annapurna base camp trek starts from today via drive to Nayapul, the trek start point. Drive 1½ hour from Pokhara to New Bridge (Nayapul). Walking along this ridge gives fantastic views of Annapurnas, Manaslu. If we go to Birethati, we turn right after crossing the river (Modi) and aim to reach Ghandrung about 5/6-hrs steep hill trial. Where there are good views of Machhapuchre (Fishtail) and Annapurna South for our rights stop in this pretty village.
Day 03: Trek to Chhomrong (2050 m.) 5-6 hrs walk.
The total walking hours for today is around six hours. The trail is relatively easy mostly descending gently all the way through rhododendron, oak and other kinds of dense forests.
Day 04: Trek to Dovan (2606 m.) 5-6 hrs walk.
Here, the trail descends via a stone staircase, eventuallycrossing the Chhomrung Khola. Participants climb high above the Modi Khola, traveling its west bank, and pass through forests of bamboo, rhododendron and oak.
Day 05: Trek to Machhapurchhre Base Camp (3720 m.) 5-6 hrs walk.
From here the valley widens up and the vegetation thins up. One can even feel thin air climbing to Machhapuchhre Base camp. You can even go all the way to Annapurna Base Camp if you feel like it.
Day 06: Visit Annapurna Base Camp (4130 m.) & trek back to Himalaya Hotel (2920 m) 7 -8 hrs walk.
After breakfast we start early and make the 2 hours trek to Annapurna Base Camp. The trail continues upwards, on a good path, to the south of the moraine. This is the highlight of the trip and affords us marvelous close up views of the mountains that make up this incredible natural amphitheatre. On arrival at ABC we get a superb view of the near vertical south face of Annapurna.
It’s much easier going down the same way. The path is descent up to Bamboo passing through forests with varieties of rhododendron, oaks and bamboo plants
Day 07: Trek to Jhinu Danda (1780 m) 6- 7 hrs walk.
The trail goes steeply up to the Kuldi Ghar and now the trail is quite flat until you reach Sinuwa. You trek gradually descend to the Chhomrong Khola and you have to follow stone staircase for almost an hour to reach Chhomrong. The last part of the trail is steeply down to Jhinudanda. From the town you should walk down for 20 minutes to reach Hot Spring at the bank of the Modi Khola. You can also relax at Hot Spring.
Day 08: Trek to Deurali (2100 m) 5-6 hrs walk.
The first part of the trek is descent and then appears through flat land until you reach Himal Pani. Here you find beautiful waterfall. Beyond this town, the trail ascends gently crossing numerous streams and terraces. After short trek, you will be at Landrug (1545m), a pretty big village inhabited by mixed community of Gurung, Magar and Brahmin as well. Now the trail gently ascends to Tolka (1850 m.) and then ascent and level path to Bherikharka. From here, the trail goes steeply up to Deorali (2100m.) with a view of different mountain peaks in panorama.
Day 09: Trek up to Phedi. Drive to Pokhara. Overnight in Pokhara (819 m)
Steep up to Deurali, then descend slightly down by the ridge of a green mountain until Damphus via Pothana. Splendid view of the Annapurna Himal, Fishtail, Lamjung Himal and Manaslu Himal. Descent until Phedi. Transfer from Phedi to Pokhara by reserved vehicle. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 10: Pokhara to Kathmandu by flight.
Pokhara to Kathmandu by flight takes 25 min or by tourist bus or private vehicle is around. Rest day is free for shopping and roaming around the beautiful and historic Kathmandu city. Overnight at hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 11: International departure
A representative from Snow Leopard Trek will take you to the airport approximately 3 hours before the scheduled flight. We hope you enjoyed the Annapurna Base Camp trek with us, and we are sure you ‘ll be back making another trip somewhere in the Himalaya again.
