Day 12: Syangmochen to Chuksang (2710 m.)
Day 13: Chuksang to Jomsom (2710 m.)
Day 14: Jomsom/Pokhara by flight.
Day 15: Departure transfer.
Day 01: Arrival and transfer to hotel in Kathmandu
After arrival, snow leopard representative will meet you at the airport and transfer to your hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 02: Sightseeing in Kathmandu and making permits
This day you will explore around the world heritage sites of Kathmandu. This day is also the day for making all the special permits ready.
Day 03: Kathmandu to Pokhara by flight or drive.
After breakfast, Kathmandu/Pokhara by 25 minutes flight or you can also choose to move Pokhara through reserved vehicle or tourist bus. The drive to Pokhara takes almost 7 hours.
Day 04: Pokhara/Jomsom by flight, drive to Kagbeni (2810 m.)
It takes about 25 minutes to reach Pokhara by flight. Pokhara to Jomsom is around 15 to 20 minutes flight. From Jomsom you can drive around one hour by jeep to Kagbeni or walk around three to four hours.
Day 05: Trek to Chele (3060 m.)
Past Kagbeni you are in the Upper Mustang region where you will need a special permit to enter. The trail follows the east bank of Kaligandaki that climbs over numerous ridges as it heads north and reaches Tangbe village. The trek now leaves the Kaligandaki valley and climbs steeply up to Chele ( 3060 m.)
Day 06: Chele to Syangmochen (3500 m.)
The trail continually climbs up through the steep tree less terrain, along the side of a spectacular steep canyon to a pass at 3540m. This is followed by a long gradual decent to some stupas on ridge before descending on a pleasant trail to Samar. And descend town. Another attraction is the four-story building of recent past king’s palace as well into large & deep gorge, cross a stream and climb up to ridge at 3800m. And then again climb down to Shyangmochen village.
Day 07: Shyangmochen to Charang (3620 m.)
This day you will cross two passes to get to Charang village. The huge five story white Dzong and red Gompa makes an interesting visit in which to observe collections of statues and Thankas as well as numerous paintings of seated Buddha’s.
Day 08: Charang to Lo-Manthang (3890 m.)
The trail will take you to the walled city of Lo. After a short descent cross a stream you will reach the plateau of Lo- Manthang.
Day 09: An explore day in Lo-Manthang (3890 m.)
Lo – Manthang is a politically interesting culturally rich town. There are few major attraction and several other places to visit here. The Tall Champa Lakhang, the red Thugchen Gompa, Chyodi Gompa and the entrance hall are the main attraction of this palace, Kimling and Phuwa as well as the Gompa of Nangyals “the monastery of victory” which is new and most attractive Gompa in Lo. The eastern valley contains Chosar, the site of a high school, Garphu and Nyphu Gompa.
Day 10: Lo- Manthang to Dhakmar
The trail makes a long rocky descent to Lo- Gekar Gompa , which is older than the Samye Gompa in Tibet and is one of the oldest Gompa of Nepal. We cross a ridge after a little climbing and drop down steeply to Dhakmar village.
Day 11: Dhakmar to Syangmochen (3500 m)
The trail descends alongside the stone walls and fields extensive villages before climbing to a ridge. It is short descent to Ghami. Now we must retrace our route back to Syngmochen.
Day 12: Syangmochen to Chuksang (2710 m.)
It’s a long final day passing back through Kagbeni to Jomsom where we end our trek. It’s now time for us to take a nice hot shower. In the evening, we celebrate with the Sherpas and porters, whom we have come to know so well over the last 2 weeks.
Day 13: Chuksang to Jomsom (2710 m.)
It’s a long final day passing back through Kagbeni to Jomsom where we end our trek. It’s now time for us to take a nice hot shower. In the evening, we celebrate with the Sherpas and porters, whom we have come to know so well over the last 2 weeks.
Day 14: Jomsom/Pokhara/Kathmandu by flight.
Catch the early flight from Jomsom to reach Pokhara. Again, fly back to Kathmandu the same day.
Day 15: Departure transfer.
Snow Leopard representative will pick you up from your hotel to drop you at the international airport for departure.
