Day 12: Yakkharka – Ghaldang Ghuldung Niwar highcamp – Niwar pass-5120m – Jugbenla pass-5880m-Ghaldang Ghuldung (4247 m).
Day 13: Ghaldang Ghuldung – Sangta (3777 m).
Day 14: Santa – Phalek village
Day 15: Phalek village – Jomsom
Day 16: Jomsom to Pokhara either by bus or flight
Day 17: Pokhara to Kathmandu
Day 18: International departure.
Day 01: Arrival at Kathmandu
As you fly into Kathmandu, the views of snow-capped mountain peaks greet you. A representative and driver from our office will meet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel. The representative will help you check into your designated hotel. At the hotel you will be briefed about your daily activities.
Day 02: Kathmandu to Nepalgunj
There are regular air services from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj that takes nearly one hour. Another alternate is by bus or by private vehicle that takes 12 to 14 hours. Since the flights to Dolpo is possible only in the early morning due to the wind above the passes you have to make a night stop in Nepalgunj.
Day 03: Nepalgunj go Juphal/Dunai
By early morning flight you will reach Juphal the only airstrip within 35 minutes. You can start your trek to Dunai for the lunch. You will have to stay one night where your guide brief you of the trip. Dunai is the head quarter of Dolpo where you can see several things. You can also have a short visit of the town and there are two Gompas and the very first private boarding school just across the river Bheri. You can have the clear views of the small town the head quarte from that side.
Day 04: Dunai to Tarakot (2931 m)
The trek starts after the breakfast, The trail is normally straight that goes along the side of river through some clusters of settlements. Finally the trail leads you to Tarakot having lunch on the way.
Day 05: Tarakot to Mushikhola
Tarakot is a typical village the people have their own culture and traditions. The people speaks Kaike, the dialect is spoken only in some clusters of this village, which is not understood by the people from any other villages. Villagers strictly follow their own social norms. You will head towards the Mushi Khola for the next stop.
Day 06: Mushikhola to Kakkotgaon
Your journey remains interesting to congregate the diverse social life styles and the hardness of the people. The trail leads you to Kakkot village for the nigh stop.
Day 07: Kakkotgaon to Pimring village
The village Kakkot is one of the virgin villages of this region. Since the route is not been in use by most of the trekkers it is still untouched. The people of this village have their own social norms and values and they follow it strictly. You can enjoy the fascinating views of the whole range of renowned Dhaulagiri. You can have the clear views of the peaks of Dhaulagiri from this place. On top of that you can enjoy the gorgeous view of Putha Hiuchuli.
Day 08: Pimring Mukotgaon
The trail from Pimring to Mukotgaon goes up and down through woods.
Day 09: Mukotgaon to Yakkharka
Day 10: Yakkharka to Mulung Sumda
After enjoying the mountains views you will proceed to the Mula pass-5600mtrs. The trek will be bit harder but remains full of excitements. After crossing the pass you will have night stop at a high pass camp at the height of 4987 m.
Day 11: Niwar Highcamp (5000 m).
The night here, you have to be prepared for the next two passes the following day.
Day 12: Yakkharka – Ghaldang Ghuldung Niwar highcamp – Niwar pass-5120m – Jugbenla pass-5880m-Ghaldang Ghuldung (4247 m).
The day will be the most exciting and tough of your trek crossing two passes the same day. After a strenuous trek along the passes finally you come stop for the day at Ghaldang Ghuldung.
Day 13: Ghaldang Ghuldung – Sangta (3777 m).
Today the trail goes up and down and takes you to the another stop at Santa.
Day 14: Santa – Phalek village
From Santa you will continue your trek to Phalek village gathering the experiences diversity in different aspects.
Day 15: Phalek village – Jomsom
Now the last walking is from Phalek village to Jomsom will also remain joyful and memorable for your lifetime. This day will complete one of your noteworthy events in your life.
Day 16: Jomsom to Pokhara either by bus or flight
Drive approximately 10 hours by bus or take 15 minutes flight to Pokhara from Jomsom. Overnight at Pokhara.
Day 17: Pokhara to Kathmandu
Drive arounf 8 hours by tourisrt bus or take 30 minutes flight. Overnight at Kathmandu.
Day 18: International departure.
You are saying good bye to the mountains as your journey in Nepal comes to an end today! Approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight a representative from Snow Leopard Trek will transfer you to the airport. On your way home you’ll have plenty of time to plan your next adventure in the wonderful country of Nepal.
