Ganesh Himal Trek

Ganesh Himal Trek

Overview

The Ganesh Himal region lies north west of Kathmandu, offering spectacular views of mountains, untouched natural biodiversity,  and incredible encounters with wild inhabitants.

Ganesh Himal is named after the elephant-headed God of Good Fortune. The Ganesh Range Peaks (Ganesh I, Ganesh II, Ganesh III, Ganesh IV) stand out like crystal in the “Great Himalayan Chain” that forms the skyline. This great Himalayan massif is contained between the valley of the Budhi Gandaki in the west and Bhote Koshi in the east, which becomes Trishuli Khola in the lower section.

Trekking in Ganesh Himal is not frequented by many tourists, which lends opportunity to a more personal experience. The terraced hillsides seem to climb to the sky. Many interesting ethnic groups offer you a glimpse into real Nepali life, giving visitors an opportunity to observe the rich Nepalese cultural tradition from the close quarters and intermingle with locals, giving the visitor a great sense of satisfaction.

Ganesh Himal Trek is a remote camping trek in which visitors will be able to observe the different ways of life and  culture and come into contact with the rural people in the small village, passing through the dense forest and meadows. We cross through high Shing La Pass and Pangsang La Pass, which offers an excellent view of the massif Ganesh Himal, Langtang, and Annapurna. On the last day of the trip, we take a bus ride back to Kathmandu/Pokhara/Chitwan from Dhading Bensi, where we will spend the final night of our trip.
