Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

You will meet Snow Leopard Trek representative at the arrival gate who will take you to your hotel. Overnight at hotel.

Day 2: Kathmandu- Nepalgunj

Then we will take a flight and move to the Nepalgunj which will takes 55 minutes. Nepaljung is the backbone of mid-western part of Nepal. Overnight at hotel

Day 3: Nepalgunj to Juphal

Then we will take a flight from Nepalgunj to Juphal airport of Dolpa which will take about 35min. Then our trek starts from here. Then we will trek to the district headquarter which a small village called Dunai (2150m) which will take about 3 hours. Overnight at Dunai

Day 4: Dunai to Chhepka

Then this day we will move to the village called Chhepka. In the way we will entered into the Shey Phoksundo National Park. Here we can have a bird watch also. Overnight at lodge or camp there

Day 5: Chhepka to Polam

We start the trek to Polam through forests of big cedars towards Polam a winter settlement used by the people of Ringmo village. We can also visit the Bon School “Tapariza” on the way.

Day 6: Polam to Phoksundo

Then we will trek to Phoksundo viewing the highest waterfall in Nepal (200 m). Our route then continues into Ringmo village, and then finally we will camp in the national park camping grounds

Day 7: Phoksundo

In this day we will rest and if we are interested then roam around national park. We take a day to explore the area around the magnificent Phoksundo Lake. And if we are lucky then we can see som species of snow leopard here also.

Day 8: Phoksundo to Sallaghari

From Phoksundo we will start our journey by the side of lake climbing the stiff trail which you might have remarked in the movie “Caravan”, where a yak was fallen into the lake. The trail then descends to lead us to Sallaghari our camp for the night.

Day 9: Sallaghari to Nangdalo Base camp

From Sallaghari, we trek up to Nangdalo base camp. And finally we will camp at Nangdalo Base camp.

Day 10: Nangdalo Base camp

Then we will rest in this this day where we can observe foot prints and droppings of Snow Leopard along with its preys.

Day 11: Nangdalo base camp to Shey Gumpa

Our trek begins towards Shey Gumba from the base camp crossing the Nangdalo Pass (5350M). Shey Gumpa is one of the famous and oldest gumba of Dolpa.

Day 12-13: Shey

In this days we will rest for two days

Day 14: Shey to Shyamling gompa

After two days rest we will trek to Shyamling gompa and there we will interact with Lamas and finally camp there.

Day 15: Shyamling to Vijer

We leave Shyamling to lunch at Vijer. After the lunch we will interact with the local people. Overnight at Vijer

Day 16: Vijer Village to Saldang

From Vijer village we trek to Saldang crossing the Nengla pass 5368m.Overnight at Saldang

Day 17: Saldang to Chhoregaon

Then we will trek to Chhoregaon from Saldang where we camp. Overnight at Chhoregaon

Day 18: Chhoregaon to Dho Tarap

Then we will trek from Chhoregaon to Dho Tarap by crossing the pass Jyanta 5221m which is also known as Chyngla pass. On this way we will be able to see the prey of Snow Leopard and also sometimes Snow Leopard too. Overnight at Dho Tarap

Day 19: Dho Tarap to Lang

Then we will trek from Dho Tarap to Lang. We have great chances to spot the Snow Leopards around this place. Overnight at Lang

Day 20: Lang to Chhugar

The trek will descend to Chhugar through rocky hills surrounded by fir and pines. And have beautiful sightseeing and bird watch.

Day 21: Chhugar to Tarakot

Then we will trek back from Chhugar to Tarakot and have lots of views of Putha himal and Dhaulagiri range then descends through rocky trails to Tarakot.

Day 22: Tarakot to Juphal

Then we will descend to the Junphal from Tarakot.

Day 23: Juphal – Nepalgunj – Kathmandu

Then we will take a flight from Juphal to Nepalgunj and finally take flight to Kathmandu. Overnight at Kathmandu

Day 24: Free day in Kathmandu

Day 25: Final Departure to Home

Snow Leopard representative will pick you up from your hotel to drop you at the international airport for departure
