Eco Trekking Workshops
Since 1996, Snow Leopard Trek has been conducting Eco-Trekking workshops on a regular basis for all of our team members. They are trained in issues related to basic environment awareness and its application based on keeping the trails clean, separation of biodegradable materials from non biodegradable materials, training trail tea house owners on the importance of environment protection, and encouraging our clients to minimize their carbon footprint. Our Managing Director, Yankila Sherpa, was directly involved through Trekking Agency Association of Nepal (TAAN) in one of the most successful environmental “eco-trek” projects in Nepal, the development of the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP).
