Day 01:Arrival and transfer
Upon arrival at the airport you will be met by a Snow Leopard Trek representative and transferred to the hotel.
Day 02: Free day in Kathmandu
This day will be a free day for you to make necessary preparations.
Day 03: Drive to Shivalaya (1767 m.)
Drive from Kathmandu to Shivalaya by reserved or local vehicle.
Day 04: Start trek from Shivalaya to Bhandar (2200 m.)
The trail from Shivalaya turns steeply up before turning into a gentle ascent to Deorali. You can enjoy the green scenery as well as some of the snow-capped mountains at a far distance. From There steep descent for about an hour to reach Bhandar (2250m.)
Day 05: Bhandar to Sete (2520 m.)
Start the day’s trek with a gentle descent to Kenja (1600m.) Then the trail goes steeply up following the agricultural farm scenery and passing through Sherpa villages with beautiful mountain views to finally reach Sete.
Day 06: Sete to Junbesi (2680 m.)
The trek begins climbing steeply for an early two hour passing through Dagchu and Goyem, small Sherpa settlements and to the Lamjura Pass (3500m.) through rhododendron forest. After the pass, the rest of the trek is a gentle descent enjoying some snow capped mountains along with spotting some wild monkeys and many species of birds.
Day 07: Junbesi to Nunthala (2220 m.)
The beginning of trek is a gentle ascent for early one and half hours to Phurtung (2900m.). From this place, one can see first views of Mount Everest, Thamserku (6623m.), Kantega (6780m.), Kusum Kangaru (6370m.) and Mera Peak (6650m.). Then the trail goes steeply up to the Takshindo La Pass (3100m.). From this point, excellent mountain views can be seen. Finally, trek ends for the day by steep descent to the town of Nunthala (2220m.).
Day 08: Nunthala to Bupsa (2360 m.)
It takes about six hours to reach from Nunthala to Bupsa.The beginning of the trek is a gentle descent to the Dudh Koshi river for an early two hours passing through agricultural farm land and small Sherpa and Rai settlements. From there the trail is a gentle ascent all the way to Kharikhola (2050m.) passing through Juving (1680m.) a pretty big Rai village and farming lands. From Kharikhola the trail follows a flat path for 45 minutes and then steeply up to Bupsa. You can visit a Buddhist Monastery in ruined state.
Day 09: Bupsa to Puiyan (2773 m.)
At the beginning of the day, the trail ascends steeply to Khari La Pass (2880m.) passing through rhododendron and oak forests, including a small Sherpa settlement and teashops. From this point, excellent views of different mountains such as Numbu (6960m.), Cho-oyu (8201m.) can be seen. Further, the trail is a gentle descent passing through Bamboo forests to reach Puiyan (2770m.).
Day 10: Puiyan to Phakding (2610 m.)
The trail from Puiyan descends to your Surkey. Surkey is a small Sherpa village at the bottom of Lukla. From Surkhey, the trek is a gentle ascent for about 2 hours to Chhiplung (2700m.), a junction road to Jiri and Lukla passing through Mushe (2650m.). From this place, the road is quite broad and busy. Now, the trail is almost flat and gently descends before ascending again to Phakding.
Day 11: Phakding to Namche (3440 m.)
This day, the trek starts crossing the river on high suspension bridges. Then the trail ascends quite steeply to Namche and along the way, if the weather is clear, catching a glimpse of Mt Everest in the distance. You can also enjoy views of Mt. Kusum Kangaru, Thamserku, Konde-Ri and Tawache peak. Another highlight to this day is being able to visit some of the village monasteries on the way to Namche Bazaar (3440 m.).
Day 12: Rest day at Namche
Rest at Namche Bazar for acclimatization and excursion around the places. For acclimatization you walk up to Thame and Khunde Hospital, which was set-up by Sir Edmund Hillary. There are also good views from the National Park Center and Museum just above the town.
Day 13: Namche to Tengboche (3837 m.)
Leave namche for a climb to the top of a ridge and level mountain path that offers an excellent panorama of Thamserku, Kantega, and Kusum Kangrib. The first half is especially steep. As the trekers climb through the forested zone, the incline eases and splendid views appear.Climbing the mountainside diagonally to reach to the stone gate built by lamas which marks the entry into Tyangboche (3860m). You may use the large plateau in front of the splendid monastery as your campsite. There is also a lodge and hotel managed by the National Park Service. Tyangboche is an important lookout point on this course, and the sunset on Everest and Ama Dablam is especially beautiful
Day 14: Explore day at Tengboche

Day 15: Tengboche to Monjo(2835 m.)
From Tengboche, trek begins ascending down to Phunki Tenga. Climb back to Namche for Lunch. Then walk down to Monjo (2880 m.).
Day 16: Monjo to Lukla (2860 m.)
The trek from Monjo to Lukla is an easy down hill walk combined with a straightforward trail and a little uphill trail.
Day 17: Lukla / Kathmandu flight
After breakfast, move to Lukla airport to fly to Kathmandu.
