Day 02: Free day in Kathmandu Or Valley Sightseeing tour. Make special permits.
Make special, Manaslu and ACAP permits. Besides, you can also undergo sightseeing of world heritage sites in Kathmandu valley including, Kathmandu Darbar square, Swayambhunath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa & Pashupatinath Temple. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 03: Drive Kathmandu to Arughat (640 m.) & Soti Khola (775 m.)
Today is around seven hours drive. Four hours of the drive is along comfortable highway while the rest of the four hour drive is on a rough road.We catch jeep and continue drive along the Budhi Gandaki River toward its point of origin. We pass the village of Morder and Simre to reach Arkhat River. Overnight near the confluence of the Soti River.
Day 04: Soti to Machhi Khola (900 m.)
The trail passes through a sal forest, rocky mountains and Magar and Gurung villages. The trail follows down the sandy river bed of Budhi Gandaki river.
Day 05: Machhi Khola to Jagat (1340 m.)
After crossing Machhi River and Khrolabesi, there is a hot spring called “Tatopani”. The trail follows forested area and Dovan river’s rapids and waterfall. After Dovan, there is an hour and half ascent and two hours straight walk before reaching camp.
Day 06: Jagat to Philim/ Ekle Bhatti (1698 m)
The trail ascends for around two hours via the villages of Salleri before crossing the Budi Gandaki river to reach Philim. From Philim on a clear day you can view Mt. Baudha (6672 m), Himal Chuli ( 7893 m) and Sarangi Himal.
Day 07: Ekle Bhatti to Deng (1950 m.)
After crossing the Budhi Gandaki gorge there are pine forest. You will experience rhododendron forests. Around 4-5 hours of relatively straight and easy walk.
Day 08: Deng to Namru (2660m)
This is a long day that involves 7-8 hours of walking. The day begins with around 3 hours of uphill walk before lunch. After lunch there is around three hours of straight walk and around one hour of uphill walk before reaching camp at Namru, which is a Sherpa village.
Day 09: Namru to Lho (3200 m.)
This is around four hours of relatively straight walk and about half hour of uphill walk before reaching Lho, which is another Sherpa village. You can see Mt. Manaslu (8163 m), Simang Himal towards the west and Kuntang Himal and Saula Himal (6238 m) towards the east.
Day 10: Lho to Sama Gaon (3530 m.)
You will pass the stone gate and long Mani stone wall of the village after Lho with full view of Peak 29 ahead. You can make a side excursion to Pungen Glacier from here to get a very close up view of Mt. Manaslu. Follow the lateral moraine of Pungen Glacier toward Sama. From the village of Sama, it takes another 20 minutes to reach Sama Gompa or monastery.
Day 11: Acclimatization day at Sama Gaon
Today is the day for acclimatization. You have many options; you can go for hiking or go to the lake, visit Monastery or explore Sama gaon village, where you will find a big Tibetan community settlement. You can also visit Manaslu base camp and back.
Day 12: Sama Gaon to Samdo (3780 m.)
The trail heads north and separates from the trail heading to the base camp. We pass several Buddhists shrines and mani or prayer walls then reach the pasture of Kermo khaka. Samdo is another Tibetan village offering views of Simang Himal, Samdo peak, Himalchuli and Peak 29. .
Day 13: Samdo to Dharamshala (4480 m)
This is around 4-5 hours of uphill walk. The walk continues with mountain views and through barren steppes. Dharmshala is the high camp before the Larkya La pass (5213 m).
Day 14: Dharmashala to Bimtang (3900 m)
This is the most difficult day of the trek that involves crossing a very long Larkya La Pass (5213 m). The day starts at around 3:30am and trek starts immediately after breakfast. Around 750m ascent of around 5-6 hours and upon reaching the pass you will have packed lunch. Then there is a descent of around 1300 m for 4-5 hours till Bimtang. The pass offers spectacular views of several mountains.
Day 15: Bhimtang to Tilje (2300 m.)
Today is a combination of steep and gradual descent for around 7 -8 hours through bamboo, pine and rhododendron forests.
Day 16: Tilje to Chamje (1430 m)
Follow the trail downstream of Marshyangdi River, passing through scattered villages. Around 6-7 hours of up and down walk day.
Day 17: Chamje to Bahundanda (1310 m)
Mostly gradual up and downhill walk. This is a 5-6 hours of walk day.
Day 18: Bahundanda to Bensisahar (760 m.) drive to Kathmandu
Walk straight through rice fields for above 4-5 hours. Stay overnight in district head quarter Bensisahar.
Day 19: Drive Bensisahar to Kathmandu
Drive to Kathmandu from Bensisahar for around 6-7 hours.Overnight at hotel in Kthmandu
Day 20: Transfer to the International Airport.
Snow Leopard trek representative will be at hotel to pick you up and transfer to the international airport for the departure.
