Salpa Bhanjyang 10 Days Trek
This trek starts with a flight to Tumlingtar that lies in the east of Everest region and follows westward along the ancient trade route through sloping rice terraced fields and the farming villages of Bhramin and Chettries in the lower elevations. This gives way to the Rai and Gurung settlements in the mid higher elevations at times through thick rhododendron, brown oaks and chir forests alive with wild lives. The trail steadily gains altitude to the yak grazing pastures and meadows with sparse Sherpa settlements.
This trek is less frequented as the locals do not get the chance to see loads of them coming their way. Nevertheless, the locals appear to be at their best with all smiles and greetings as you pass them by. You may be able to witness century’s old tradition of paper making, farming and even try the local brew produced by the people whose lives revolve around the herd they keep, seasonal farming, singing and dancing during courtship ceremonies and festival times.
The mountain views are outstanding along the way with Everest, Makalu, Baruntse, Lhotse, Thamserku and many more in the back ground. The Arun Valley Trek offers an incredible mix of natural beauty, cultural encounters, and memorable landscapes, making it an ideal choice for those seeking an off-the-beaten-path adventure in Nepal.
