Lhasa: 3-4 Days Lhasa and the vicinity
The twice a week flight between Kathmandu to Lhasa is the shortest possible flight into Tibet. The flight of approximately hour and a half is in itself an eye opener - flying along the world mightiest peaks (Cho Oyu, Everest Lhotse and Makalu and Kanchanjunga) of the eastern Himalaya.
Lhasa is the inner urban district of the capital city at 3656 meters - the highest city in the world and second largest in Tibet. The city has been the religious and administrative capital since 17th century. Important sites include ascend to majestic Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple – a revered pilgrimage site, wandering the bustling Barkhor Bazaar, Norbulika – summer palace of The Dalai Lama, and delving into the significance of Drepung and Sera Monasteries. The tour mostly focuses on Tibetan Buddhism, art, architecture, culture, people and tradition.
